Labour Party (LP) gubernatorial candidate Olumide Akpata has promised to lead a transformative revolution in education across Edo State if he wins the election in September.
Akpata emphasized the pivotal role of education in societal advancement, asserting that every child in the state will have access to top-quality foundational education under his leadership.
The former president of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) assured that his administration would address educational needs comprehensively, ensuring no child or community is neglected.
In a statement shared on his X handle, Akpata outlined his plans to enhance the state’s education system, including empowering educators and revamping the curriculum to foster an environment conducive to achieving dreams.
He stated, “Education is fundamental to progress and is the gateway to a brighter future for our society. Having benefited from the Nigerian educational system, I am committed to giving back.
“My pledge is straightforward: every child in Edo deserves a strong educational foundation, one that equips them for success.
“A Labour Party government will spearhead an educational revolution in Edo State. Our goal is to leave no child behind and to ensure that every community benefits.
“We will invest in our schools, support our teachers, enhance teaching methods, and overhaul the curriculum to create a setting where every young Edolite can aspire to greatness and achieve even more.”
