The newly appointed Katsina State NYSC Coordinator, Alhaji Saidu Ibrahim, has urged staff at the Secretariat to prioritize punctuality and diligence in their work. During a meeting with the heads of branches and units on Monday, Saidu emphasized the importance of professionalism and accountability in their duties.
Saidu, who has previously worked in Katsina, made it clear that he expects staff to deliver on their responsibilities without engaging in unproductive behaviors like rumor-mongering and internal conflicts. He stated, “I have zero tolerance for unfounded rumors. If you bring a complaint to me about someone, I will invite the other person and ask you to repeat your claims.”
Instead of spreading rumors, Saidu encouraged staff to offer constructive criticism and advice that would benefit the NYSC’s operations in the state. He also highlighted the importance of continuous learning and adaptability, reminding staff that “no one is a know-it-all” and that ongoing reassessment is key to achieving excellence.
Saidu called for teamwork and synergy among the staff to meet the scheme’s goals, stressing that their support is crucial to the success of the NYSC in Katsina. He concluded the meeting by inspecting camp facilities alongside the staff, signaling his readiness to address the challenges facing the scheme in the state.
