The internal conflict within the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has escalated, with a faction of the National Working Committee (NWC) suspending the acting National Chairman, Umar Damagum, and National Secretary, Samuel Anyanwu, over accusations of disloyalty. This suspension follows a similar move by Damagum’s faction, which recently suspended the National Legal Adviser and National Publicity Secretary on similar grounds.
In response, the faction opposing Damagum cited their involvement in a controversial letter to the Court of Appeal as grounds for their suspension, referring them to the National Disciplinary Committee for further action.
