Governor Bala Mohammed of Bauchi State has responded to comments made by Nyesom Wike, Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), asserting that no one can ignite turmoil in Bauchi, as the state is capable of handling any challenge. He made this statement during a meeting with the National Working Committee (NWC) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on Tuesday.
This marks the first public reaction from Mohammed after Wike, angered by the internal dynamics within the PDP in Rivers, warned that he would “put fire” in states where governors interfere in his state’s political affairs. Mohammed, who is the Chairman of the PDP Governors’ Forum, emphasized unity within the party, stating that despite disagreements, they remain committed to stability and peace.
The PDP NWC expressed its full support for the steps taken by the party’s governors to resolve internal crises.
