The football world is in mourning following the sudden death of former Sheffield United defender George Baldock. The 31-year-old was found dead in the swimming pool of his home in Glyfada, southern Athens, Greece. His family confirmed the tragic news in a statement, expressing their shock and grief. Both Panathinaikos and Sheffield United released statements honoring Baldock’s legacy, with Panathinaikos describing his loss as “untimely” and Sheffield United offering heartfelt condolences to his family and friends.
