Kano State Governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf, has refuted claims that he awarded contracts to Musa Garba Kwankwaso, allegedly a brother of his political mentor and former governor, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso. The allegations, made by Nigerian-US filmmaker Bello Galadanchi, assert that all 44 Local Government Councils were directed to pay ₦10 million each for drug supplies from a company owned by Kwankwaso’s brother.

In response, Governor Yusuf denied the accusations and ordered the Kano State Public Complaints and Anti-Corruption Commission (PCACC) to investigate the claims. The governor’s office, through a statement signed by Commissioner of Information Baba Halilu Dantiye and Director General of Media and Publicity Sanusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, urged the public to remain patient while awaiting the investigation’s findings.
