Nigerian striker Victor Olatunji made a memorable debut in the UEFA Champions League, scoring and assisting in Sparta Prague’s 3-0 win against Red Bull Salzburg on Wednesday. Olatunji’s goal came in the 42nd minute, and he assisted Qazim Laçi’s goal in the 58th minute.
Olatunji’s performance earned him a place in an exclusive group of African players to both score and assist in their Champions League debut. According to Opta Joe, he is the third African and the first Nigerian to achieve this feat.
