Former Nigerian President, Olusegun Obasanjo, has criticized the country’s leadership, attributing Nigeria’s lack of progress to the self-centered leaders currently in power. Speaking at the Leadership Empowerment International Conference in Abeokuta on Saturday, Obasanjo highlighted the leadership deficit as the root cause of Nigeria’s socioeconomic and political challenges.

He urged the current leaders to prioritize service to the community and country, emphasizing that leadership and service should not end until one’s last breath. Obasanjo stressed that effective and selfless leadership is essential for Nigeria to overcome its present difficulties and move forward.
