The people of Ondo State have cast their votes today, deciding who will govern the South-West state until 2028. The major candidates in this keenly contested election included:

• Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa of the All Progressives Congress (APC)
• Bamidele Akingboye from the Social Democratic Party (SDP)
• Olusola Ebiseni representing the Labour Party (LP)
• Abbas Mimiko of the Zenith Labour Party (ZLP)
• Hon Agboola Ajayi from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)
