Speaker of the House of Representatives, Tajudeen Abbas, praised President Bola Tinubu for his efforts to enhance Nigeria’s development, particularly highlighting the recent assent to the North West Development Commission (NWDC) Bill.

In a statement on his X handle, Abbas lauded Tinubu’s action, noting that it reflects a commitment to improving the country. The new NWDC is expected to address significant regional challenges, including unemployment, and bring development directly to the North West region.

Abbas emphasized that by signing the NWDC Bill into law, Tinubu has demonstrated exceptional patriotism. He expressed congratulations to both the North West region and Nigeria at large for this pivotal advancement.

It was also reported that President Tinubu recently signed the South East Development Commission (SEDC) Bill into law, which was sponsored by House of Representatives Deputy Speaker Benjamin Kalu, alongside the NWDC Bill sponsored by Senate Deputy President Jibrin Barau.
