Folasade Tinubu-Ojo, the daughter of President Bola Tinubu and the Iyaloja General of Lagos State, has urged parents to prevent their children from joining the planned nationwide protest on August 1. In a viral video, Tinubu-Ojo emphasized the progress made by the Lagos State Government and called for support.
She appealed to Nigerians to give the Federal Government, led by her father, time to demonstrate its capabilities before facing criticism. Tinubu-Ojo made these statements on Sunday while addressing market women in Yoruba.
She highlighted the dangers of participating in the #EndBadGovernance protest, urging market women to caution their children. In the video, she stated in Yoruba, “Let’s talk to ourselves, our children and our families that there is nothing like protesting in Lagos, it is just a ploy to destroy the country. See the last protest and the damage that was caused. Let’s not because a party is paying some people to fight, let’s not allow our children to participate.”
