In a dramatic turn of events during the ongoing #EndBadGovernance protests, demonstrators have seized an Armoured Personnel Carrier (APC) belonging to the Nigeria Police Force in Kaduna State.

Naija News reports that the APC was taken by protesting youths, although the exact circumstances of the takeover remain unclear. Videos circulating on social media show the protesters driving the vehicle through the streets with apparent glee.

In response to the escalating situation, the Kaduna State Security Council has imposed a 24-hour curfew on Kaduna and Zaria Metropolitan Cities. This decision, announced on Monday, was prompted by the protests and the resulting unrest.

Despite some areas in Kaduna experiencing a return to normalcy, thousands of youths remain on the streets, demanding an end to what they perceive as bad governance.

President Bola Tinubu addressed the nation on Sunday, urging an end to the protests. However, the demonstrators stated that the President failed to address their core demands.

Samuel Aruwan, the overseeing Commissioner of the Ministry of Internal Security and Home Affairs, issued a statement explaining that the curfew was implemented in the interest of maintaining peace.
