Early on Monday, seven travelers, including a driver, were killed by gunmen along the Takum-Wukari Road in Taraba State. The attackers ambushed the vehicle between Chanchangi town and Saai village, leaving the victims dead on the spot without stealing any items. They are believed to be associated with terrorists from a nearby forest in Benue State.
In a separate incident in Zamfara State, bandits struck Magazu village, targeting several vehicles. The attackers first ambushed four vehicles, killing a truck driver and abducting numerous passengers. They returned later to assault a commercial vehicle and abduct more passengers. The Zamfara State Police Commissioner has confirmed the truck driver’s death but is still gathering details on the other attacks.
