The Lagos State Government has announced a traffic diversion at Ikeja Along Bus Stop, located between Ile Zik and Conoil Petrol Station on the Oshodi-bound lane. The diversion will be in effect from Saturday, August 17, to Sunday, August 18, 2024, from midnight to 4 am each day to facilitate the demolition of the old pedestrian bridge.
Lagos State Commissioner for Transportation, Oluwaseun Osiyemi, confirmed the change, noting that only one lane will be available to motorists between Ile Zik Bus Stop and Conoil Petrol Filling Station. The diversion will not affect traffic traveling towards Dopemu/Abule Egba. Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) will oversee the flow of vehicles and ensure minimal disruption.
