Nigerian singer Dammy Krane has accused fellow artist Davido of orchestrating plans to have him arrested for defamation. The tension between the two artists dates back to 2023 when Dammy Krane publicly accused Davido of owing him money.
On Thursday, Dammy Krane took to his X account to allege that police officers are planning to arrest him under Davido’s orders. He further claimed that there are attempts to frame him for involvement in crypto scams, warning that Davido should be held accountable if anything happens to him.
He stated, “If anything happens to me, @davido should be held responsible. Oppressor @davido has paid them to arrest me. They wrote a petition, lying that I am into Flutterwave & Crypto scams just to arrest me. This is how they keep using the bad cops to spoil the name of the police.”
In the midst of the ongoing conflict, veteran fuji musician Wasiu Ayinde, popularly known as KWAM 1 or K1 De Ultimate, has urged Dammy Krane to put an end to his feud with Davido. During a live performance in the USA, KWAM 1 stepped in, calling for peace between the two artists.
The dispute escalated further last week when Dammy Krane accused Davido of being involved in the death of his late friend, Tagbo, who passed away on his birthday in 2017. KWAM 1’s intervention emphasizes the need for reconciliation and resolution between the two musicians.
