The Nigerian Army has called on citizens to leverage social media to bolster national security. During a seminar in Katsina titled ‘Harnessing the Social Media for National Security and Development,’ Maj-Gen. Nosakhire Ugbo stressed that social media is crucial in countering banditry, as criminals exploit these platforms to promote their activities.
Ugbo urged citizens to use social media to support security efforts and strengthen the relationship between the Army and local communities. He emphasized that effective use of social media can help in the fight against crime and contribute to national unity and peace.
