The African Export-Import Bank (Afreximbank) has announced that the Creative Africa Nexus (CANEX) 2024 will take place in Algiers, Algeria, from October 16-19, 2024. This premier event will showcase Africa’s thriving creative and cultural industries, providing a platform for creatives across the continent to exhibit their work, network with industry leaders, and explore business opportunities.
Launched in 2020, CANEX is backed by a $1 billion facility from Afreximbank, aimed at financing the creative and cultural industries. The four-day event will feature exhibitions, live performances, masterclasses, roundtable discussions, and networking opportunities, attracting creatives, investors, and professionals from across the globe.
With a focus on boosting Africa’s share of global cultural trade, CANEX 2024 promises to drive business-to-business and business-to-government opportunities, contributing to the continent’s growing creative economy under the theme, “One People, United in Culture, Creating for the World.”
