The Nigerian government has secured a $600,000 relief fund from the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation to support flood recovery and reforms in the health and agricultural sectors. The announcement was made during a meeting between Vice President Kashim Shettima and the Gates Foundation on the sidelines of the 79th UN General Assembly in New York.
In addition to the relief fund, a $5 million grant was approved for Lagos Business School to enhance Nigeria’s industrial cassava sector, further boosting agricultural development in the country.
