Afrobeats artist Jaywon has taken a jab at fellow musician Odumodublvck for what he perceives as disrespect towards senior artists in the industry. Jaywon’s comments came after Odumodublvck made a post on X, comparing Jaywon’s photo with emerging star Ayra Starr to one featuring Starr with American rapper Future.

In the images, Ayra Starr appeared to keep her distance from Jaywon while warmly interacting with Future. Odumodublvck used the pictures to mockingly suggest that there was a preference for Future over Jaywon, stating, “This life ehn,” indicating a sense of favoritism.

Jaywon responded to the shade with a comment that highlighted Odumodublvck’s inexperience: “Lol, you’re already dragging your senior. Who’s going to drag you? You haven’t even started life, and you’re already stepping on toes.”

In a separate post, Odumodublvck expressed his respect for fellow artist Rema, stating that despite being six years older than him, he often seeks Rema’s advice. He emphasized that wisdom and respect in the music industry aren’t determined by age, noting, “I senior Rema with six years, but when him dey talk, I dey pay full attention. He has told me things that I’ve never heard from anyone else, not even my parents. And trust me, I don hear many advice. I repeat, OG no be by age.”
