President Bola Tinubu is set to depart Abuja for the United Kingdom today to commence a two-week vacation, which is part of his annual leave. This was disclosed in a statement by Tinubu’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga.
The statement, titled ‘President Tinubu goes on annual leave,’ noted that the President plans to use this time as a working vacation and a retreat to reflect on his administration’s economic reforms. He is expected to return to Nigeria once his leave concludes.
Sources close to the President confirmed that this trip follows his recent return from London, where he met with King Charles III.
This marks Tinubu’s 27th foreign trip since he assumed office approximately 16 months ago and his fourth visit to the UK. His travel history includes visits to various countries, including Equatorial Guinea, Bissau, Kenya, South Africa, Ghana, India, the UAE, the US, Saudi Arabia, Germany, Ethiopia, Senegal, and Qatar.
