Mercy Aigbe’s husband, Kazim Adeoti, has revealed the reason he did not attend or publicly celebrate his first wife, Olufunsho Adeoti, on her 50th birthday.
Olufunsho turned 50 last week and hosted a party in the United States. Many were quick to criticize Adeoti online for his absence and lack of public acknowledgment.
Addressing the issue in an Instagram post, Adeoti explained that his first wife had asked him not to attend the celebration or post about her on social media. He confirmed that she made her request clear in the presence of their children, and he chose to respect her wishes to avoid any potential embarrassment.
Despite his absence, Adeoti emphasized that he fully supported his wife both financially and emotionally. He also sent her a private birthday message, which she received graciously.
The businessman urged the public to refrain from making hurtful comments about his family, stating that his first wife remains an important part of his life and that he holds no ill will towards her.
