Omowunmi Aloba, the widow of late Nigerian artist Mohbad, has agreed to conduct a DNA test to confirm the paternity of their son, Liam. Following Mohbad’s sudden passing at age 27, Omowunmi has been entangled in a family dispute with the singer’s father, Joseph Aloba, who had insisted on the test.
Legal attempts to serve Omowunmi with court documents initially stalled, leading the Magistrates Court in Ikorodu to advise both sides toward alternative dispute resolution. Despite closed-door negotiations, no agreement was reached until Omowunmi’s recent consent to proceed with the DNA test.
Monisola Odumosu, from the family’s legal team, confirmed her decision, signaling a potential resolution in the family’s legal battle.
