Former Minister of Health, Onyebuchi Chukwu, has voiced concerns over the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) and its handling of the nation’s economic crisis. During an appearance on Channels Television, Chukwu argued that the Federal Government has not taken adequate short- and medium-term measures to alleviate the economic suffering of Nigerians, particularly after the abrupt removal of the petrol subsidy 15 months ago.
Chukwu urged President Bola Tinubu’s administration to adopt immediate solutions, claiming that the petrol subsidy has not been entirely removed. He emphasized the importance of addressing the oil and gas sector, which remains a key revenue source, and criticized the lack of decisive actions in resolving the ongoing economic challenges.
