The All Progressives Congress (APC) chapter in the United States has attributed Nigeria’s ongoing economic difficulties to weak institutions and pervasive corruption. In a statement issued on Thursday in Abuja, APC-USA Chairman Professor Tai Balofin pointed out that these issues are hindering the swift implementation of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s “Renewed Hope” agenda.
Balofin urged Nigerians to remain patient and law-abiding as President Tinubu implements reforms designed to bring democratic benefits to the nation despite global economic challenges affecting the economy. He criticized the underreporting of the President’s achievements and recommended that the federal government utilize various platforms to better communicate its successes.
He also proposed that the APC employ its internal mechanisms and Press Corp to regularly highlight the administration’s accomplishments, rather than only addressing the public during crises. Balofin called on Nigerian youths and citizens to maintain faith in the country and support President Tinubu’s efforts to improve the lives of ordinary Nigerians through his reform initiatives.
