*Seeks removal of NDDC from treasury single account

The woman leader of the All Progressives Congress, APC in Isoko north area of Delta state, Oghogho Joyce Emeni has congratulated the former minister of Niger Delta for his new portfolio called for support for the minister of regional development, Abubakar Momoh emphasizing the need for dialogue with stakeholders in the Niger Delta region to advance President Bola Tinubu’s renewed hope agenda.

She urged the president to disregard calls for the sack of the Managing Director of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), Samuel Ogbuku, citing the laters administration’s impressive performance which has made him popular amongst the people

In a statement, Emeni appealed to the president to consider the region’s interest and remove NDDC from the single treasury account so as to allow the intervention agency to generate its own funds for faster deployment of the region.

“This mover would enable the NDDC to operate more efficiently and effectively, bringing development to the Niger Delta region” she said adding that “Support for the minister will enhance efficiency and development in the region”

The woman leader emphasized the need for stakeholder engagement to drive the Renewed Hope Agenda forward just as she expressed confidence in the leadership of the NNDC led by Samuel Ogbuku

Her stance aligns with the APC’s push for women’s involvement in the party’s activities and governance.

Recall that APC women leaders have been advocating for greater participation in delivering the Renewed Hope Agenda, leveraging their expertise and professionalism
