In recent attacks in Kaduna State, bandits have abducted 22 individuals across two locations. The first incident occurred in Mani community near Rido Ward in Chikun Local Government Area, where 19 people, including a woman and her three children, were seized from three houses early Thursday morning. A local source reported that among the victims were a nursing mother with four children and several young individuals.

In a separate attack, bandits targeted Dan Honu II Millennium City, also in Chikun Local Government Area, on Wednesday night. They abducted a mother and her three sons from the home of Mr. Mutiu Adeleke. According to reports, the attackers fired shots while raiding the community, leaving Mr. Adeleke behind while fleeing with his children. Mrs. Adeleke was abandoned in the bush but managed to return home.

This attack follows a previous incident in Dan Honu II, where journalists and their families were abducted two months ago. Mr. Adeleke, who had recently arranged to relocate his family to a safer area, was in the process of moving when the attack occurred. The Kaduna State Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Munsir Hassan, has yet to comment on the incidents.
