Josephine Otabor, popularly known as Phyna and the winner of BBNaija Season 7, has reacted to Nigerian singer Davido’s statement claiming that he doesn’t know her. The exchange began after a tweet liked by Davido seemed to criticize Phyna.
On social media, Phyna had accused Davido of “hating” her after it was discovered that he had liked a tweet that was uncomplimentary towards her.
The tweet in question, posted by user @47kasz, questioned why anyone would support Phyna. In response, Davido clarified that he didn’t know who she was and that it was an honest mistake.
This exchange stirred reactions on social media, with some applauding Davido for addressing what they viewed as an attempt by Phyna to gain attention. Others, however, criticized Davido for denying Phyna, who had gained fame during and after her BBNaija victory last year.
In a subsequent response, Phyna expressed her gratitude, saying that God knows her and she would double her efforts in her endeavors.
“God knows me. Thank you, Jesus. I will redouble my efforts,” she wrote on her social media platform.
Former BBNaija reality star, Tacha, also showed support for Phyna, confirming that they all knew her.
“I know you, Phyna. Many of us know you,” Tacha posted on social media.
