Alhaji Ibrahim Milgoma, former chairman of the Sokoto State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has passed away in Abuja after a prolonged illness. Milgoma, who led the PDP in Sokoto from 2015 to 2018, died in a hospital where he had been receiving treatment.
The news of his death was confirmed by Malam Hassan Sahabi Sanyinnawal, the Sokoto State PDP Publicity Secretary. Sanyinnawal expressed profound grief over Milgoma’s passing and praised him as a distinguished and respected leader who made significant contributions to both Sokoto State and Nigeria.
Sanyinnawal emphasized Milgoma’s dedication and effective leadership, noting that his efforts were crucial in securing the PDP’s victory in the 2019 general elections in Sokoto State.
The statement from the PDP Sokoto State Chapter read, “The late Ibrahim Milgoma was a distinguished gentleman and respected leader whose dedication and commitment greatly contributed to the development of Sokoto State and Nigeria. We pray that Almighty Allah forgives his shortcomings, rewards his good deeds with Aljannat Firdaus, and grants his family and the entire state the strength to endure this great loss.”
