Iran’s Foreign Ministry has dismissed recent U.S. claims linking Tehran to an alleged plot to assassinate President-elect Donald Trump. Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baghaei called the accusations “totally unfounded,” rejecting the notion that Iran is behind any plans targeting former or current American officials. The statement follows charges from U.S. prosecutors against an Iranian national allegedly connected to the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) in relation to the plot.
