Atletico Madrid has reached an agreement to sell their attacking midfielder, Joao Felix, to Chelsea, with the player expected to arrive in London this week to complete his medical.
Football transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has revealed that Felix is on the brink of signing a contract with Chelsea that will keep him at Stamford Bridge until June 30, 2030. The Portuguese international, who previously played for Chelsea on loan during the 2022-2023 season, will finalize his return to the club following a successful medical examination.
The deal between Chelsea and Atletico Madrid is reported to be worth up to £46.3 million. Felix is set to sign a six-year contract, with an option for an additional year, potentially extending his stay at Stamford Bridge beyond 2030.
All parties involved, including Felix’s agent Jorge Mendes, have reportedly reached an agreement, and it is only a matter of time before Chelsea makes an official announcement.
In related news, Conor Gallagher’s move from Chelsea to Atletico Madrid is expected to be finalized before the end of the week, following Felix’s transfer.
