A number of people are feared trapped following a fire outbreak at the Oko Baba plank market in Ebute Metta, Lagos. Emergency responders, including the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA), National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), and both State and Federal Fire Services, are working to contain the rapidly spreading fire.

Local residents are also assisting in efforts to control the blaze, while police officers from Denton Police Station and Area C, Surulere, have cordoned off the area. Nosa Okunbor, LASEMA’s Public Affairs Head, confirmed that rescue operations are underway as responders search for victims.
