To address Nigeria’s economic challenges, First Lady Oluremi Tinubu and National Security Adviser Nuhu Ribadu will lead a national prayer session in Abuja. Organized by the National Prayer Forum (NPF) under the theme “Seeking the Intervention of God in Nigeria’s Affairs,” the event aims to unite citizens in hope and resilience.
NPF Director General Segun Balogun Afolorunikan announced that Christian and Muslim leaders will collaborate for this prayer, encouraging Nigerians to find strength and unity as they approach 2025.
Muslims will gather at Abuja’s National Mosque, where 313 individuals will collectively recite the Qur’an 2,191 times over seven days. Meanwhile, Christians will convene at the National Ecumenical Centre for a week of focused prayers, with representatives from various denominations addressing the nation’s difficulties.
Afolorunikan shared that extensive outreach has been conducted, involving meetings with key religious leaders such as the President of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) and the Sultan of Sokoto, ensuring a widespread spiritual effort for the nation’s wellbeing.
