The Nigerian government has released the 2024 Professional Examination results for General and Post Basic Nursing Programs. According to a circular from the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN), dated November 10, 2024, the results reveal an impressive 88% overall pass rate.
As reported by Naija News, the NMCN’s acting registrar, Ngadi Alhassan, confirmed that a total of 18,139 candidates succeeded in the exams. Nursing institution heads across Nigeria will be able to access their specific results online starting Tuesday, November 12, 2024.
The breakdown of the results shows:
- General Nursing Program: 12,534 candidates passed, achieving an 88% pass rate.
- Refresher Program: 42 candidates passed, with a 45% pass rate.
- Foreign Trained Nurses (FTN): 178 candidates passed, reflecting a 43% pass rate.
- Post Basic Nursing Programs: 4,513 candidates passed, marking a 96% pass rate.
- Community Nursing Program: 872 candidates passed, with a 74% pass rate.
