The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) has confirmed issues with fuel supply and distribution in parts of Lagos and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT). The company has promised to take swift action to restore normalcy.

“The NNPC Ltd. wishes to state that the tightness in fuel supply and distribution witnessed in some parts of Lagos and the FCT is as a result of a hitch in the discharge operations of a couple of vessels,” stated Olufemi Soneye, Chief Corporate Communications Officer of the NNPCL, in a Saturday statement.

“The Company further states that it is working round the clock with all stakeholders to resolve the situation and restore normalcy in the operations.”

This confirmation follows reports of long queues and rising fuel prices in affected areas.
