Controversial Cleric Odumeje Reflects on His Early Life of Crime

Prophet Chukwuemeka Ohanaemere, widely known as Odumeje, shared personal details about his tumultuous childhood during a recent sermon. The clergyman disclosed that he grew up in a dangerous part of Onitsha, Anambra State, where he became involved in criminal activities at just 14 years old.

“I became an armed robber and a terrorist until Jesus Christ, through my mother, changed my life,” Odumeje said while addressing his congregation.

He described his transformation from a self-proclaimed “destroyer” to a spiritual leader, emphasizing the pivotal role his mother played in his journey to salvation.

Odumeje on Handling Online Criticism: ‘I Don’t Call the Police’

During the same service, Odumeje explained how he deals with online critics and trolls. He claimed that instead of reporting his detractors to the authorities, he confronts them spiritually.

“I don’t call the police for enemies. If I don’t kill you, know that Jesus is not a true God,” Odumeje warned, to which his congregation responded with applause.

Known for his controversial approach to ministry, Odumeje continues to make headlines with his bold declarations and unorthodox methods.
