One person has been killed and several others injured after Hezbollah launched 150 missiles from southern Lebanon into northern Israel on Saturday, 19th October 2024. The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) reported that the attacks targeted various locations, including Haifa and Acre.
A 50-year-old man was killed by shrapnel while sitting in his car in Acre, and another person was evacuated in moderate condition to the Galilee Medical Center in Nahariya. Several other people were injured in the strikes, with three suffering shrapnel wounds and others treated for shock in Kiryat Ata.
Additional casualties were reported in Western Galilee, where missile damage to an open road sent four more people to the hospital. This escalation in cross-border attacks has heightened tensions in the region, raising concerns about the potential for further conflict between Israel and Hezbollah.
