Allen Onyeama, CEO of Air Peace, has commended President Bola Tinubu and Aviation Minister Festus Keyamo for Nigeria’s recent signing of the Cape Town Convention (CTC) Practice Directions, marking a significant shift in the aviation sector.
Onyeama described the signing as a revolutionary step, enhancing the country’s aviation capabilities. He praised Keyamo’s appointment as Aviation Minister, highlighting its positive impact on the industry. According to Onyeama, the agreement will facilitate easier acquisition of aircraft, improve connectivity, and potentially reduce airfare costs.
In an interview with Arise TV, Onyeama emphasized the benefits of the CTC Practice Directions, noting that the cost-effectiveness of aircraft leasing will allow Nigerian airlines to expand their fleets and compete more effectively in West and Central Africa.
