The Oyo State Government, under Governor Seyi Makinde, has announced plans to recruit 791 new civil servants into its mainstream service. This was revealed by the Chairman of the State Civil Service Commission, Alhaji Kamoru Aderibigbe, during a press briefing in Ibadan on October 2.
The recruitment will include 230 education officers and 561 other roles, marking the largest civil service intake in the state in over two decades. Applications can be submitted via the state job portal, www.jobportal.oyostate.gov.ng, from October 7 to October 11.
Aderibigbe emphasized that the process would be conducted with fairness and transparency. Applicants must meet educational qualifications, including university graduates with at least a second-class degree and polytechnic graduates with a minimum of lower credit. All applicants must also have NYSC discharge or exemption certificates. The recruitment process is designed to ensure competence and avoid political influence.
