Music Executive Paul Okoye Names Burna Boy Nigeria’s Wealthiest Artist, Comments on Rema’s Pricing

Nigerian music executive and talent manager Paul Okoye, popularly known as Paul O, has revealed that Grammy award-winning artist Damini Ogulu, famously known as Burna Boy, is currently the richest Nigerian musician.

During a recent Instagram live session with media personality Daddy Freeze, Paul O disclosed that the “City Boys” hitmaker earned between $80 and $100 million in 2023 alone. He noted that Burna Boy operates with a relatively small team, including his mother, Bose Ogulu, his sister Ronami, his mother’s brother, and a few other consultants.

Paul O highlighted that despite his massive earnings, Burna Boy chooses not to flaunt his wealth or net worth publicly.

In contrast, Paul O expressed his views on Mavins singer Rema, stating that the young artist tends to overprice himself. Despite this, Rema remains one of the most sought-after young musicians with a strong reputation internationally.
