Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s presidential candidate in the 2023 elections, recently visited popular Nigerian singer Peter Okoye, also known as Mr. P. This visit comes shortly after Obi met with Peter’s brothers, Jude and Paul Okoye, amid a public family dispute.

The Okoye family is currently embroiled in a bitter feud, with Paul Okoye and his older brother Jude standing against Peter. Paul has accused Peter of filing a petition against him with the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC). However, Peter clarified that his petition was directed at Jude for allegedly diverting funds from their company.

In an effort to mediate and resolve the conflict, Peter Obi paid visits to each of the brothers. Below are pictures from Obi’s visit to Peter Okoye.

In related news, Paul Okoye, also known as Rude Boy, has laid out strict conditions for signing new artists to his record label, Fire Department Inc. Launched in 2019, the label has yet to sign any new artists, and Paul explained during an Instagram Live session that his terms include guarantees like landed property and a co-signed contract by the artist’s parents. He also stated that any artist caught smoking would face a ₦10 million fine.
