On Monday, August 19th, President Bola Tinubu will leave Abuja for a brief working visit to France, as confirmed by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Ajuri Ngelale. The President is expected to return to Nigeria shortly after completing his stay in France.
In related news, Osita Okechukwu, a former Director General of the Voice of Nigeria (VON), has advised President Tinubu to prioritize governance and resist undue influence from certain governors and special interest groups. Okechukwu praised Tinubu’s achievements in securing financial autonomy for local government councils and allocating 450,000 barrels per day of crude oil to local refineries. He cautioned against any attempts to delay the enforcement of the Supreme Court’s ruling on local government autonomy, warning that it could lead to a legal impasse.
