Manchester City star Rodri, who recently won the 2024 Ballon d’Or, revealed his top choices for the award, expressing admiration for Real Madrid’s Dani Carvajal and Vinicius Junior. The Spanish midfielder shared that he would have ranked Carvajal second and Vinicius third if he had voting power.

Rodri’s stellar performances for Manchester City, including leading them to a Premier League title and securing a Euro 2024 victory for Spain, ultimately earned him the top spot at this year’s Ballon d’Or. Rodri commented on his picks via @partidazocope, stating, “I’d vote Dani Carvajal 2nd at the Ballon d’Or… and Vinicius Jr as 3rd.”

Currently sidelined due to an ACL injury sustained in a match against Arsenal, Rodri is hopeful of making a comeback this season. “I believe I can return this season, yes,” he said, emphasizing a balanced approach to recovery. Manchester City have faced challenges in his absence, with four recent losses and trailing five points behind league leaders Liverpool.

Rodri remains focused on his recovery, aiming to contribute to the upcoming Clubs’ World Cup.
