Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu reiterated his administration’s dedication to fostering an inclusive and prosperous community during the Y2024 Micro Enterprise Support Initiative (MESI) Programme held in Ikeja. At the event, disadvantaged women and youths received essential tools such as sewing machines, hairdressing equipment, and more, aimed at alleviating poverty and boosting economic independence.

Sanwo-Olu commended the efforts of the Commissioner for Women Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, Bolaji Cecilia Dada, for her ongoing work to enhance the program’s reach and impact. He urged the beneficiaries to utilize the resources effectively to become financially independent and create employment opportunities.

Dada highlighted the program’s success and growth over the years, noting significant increases in budget allocations and the expansion of support services, including cash grants and business training.
