Simi Prefers Husband Adekunle Gold’s Music Over Other ArtistsPopular singer Simisola Kosoko, known as Simi, recently shared that she doesn’t listen to any other musicians’ songs besides those of her husband, Adekunle Gold.
During her appearance on the ‘Zero Conditions’ podcast, Simi explained her unique listening habit: “I don’t listen to anybody’s music. The reason I listen to my husband’s songs is because I’m married to him.”
Although she has an affinity for Post Malone’s first album, ‘Beerbongs & Bentleys,’ and enjoys J. Cole’s music, Simi reiterated that she generally avoids listening to other artists’ work. “I don’t really listen to anybody’s music. The reason I’m listening to my album now is because it just came out. In a few weeks, I probably won’t listen to it as much as I do now.”
Simi and Adekunle Gold tied the knot on January 9, 2019, and welcomed their first child, Adejare, in 2020.
Despite her limited music listening habits, Simi has carved out a successful career in the industry. She rose to prominence in 2014 with her single “Tiff” and has since established her own record label, Studio Brat.
