Aminu Boza, a representative of Sabon Birni North Constituency in the Sokoto State House of Assembly, has vehemently denied allegations linking him to the abduction and murder of the District Head of Gatawa, Isa Bawa. Boza has disassociated himself from any criminal activities or connections with the bandits responsible and vowed to continue his efforts in combating banditry in the region.
In a statement, Boza declared, “These baseless accusations will not deter me from my commitment to fighting against banditry. We must unite to eliminate these criminals and bring lasting peace to our communities.”
The allegations arose after the late District Head’s son claimed that the bandits who kidnapped and killed his father accused Boza of providing them with weapons and paying them N5 million to carry out the crime. The son made these allegations in a video while receiving medical treatment, stating that the bandits confessed to receiving arms from Boza during the election campaign period.
In response, Boza released an audio message denying any involvement and reaffirming his stance against negotiating with bandits. He expressed his willingness to sacrifice his life if it means restoring peace to his community.
