President Bola Tinubu has presented Nigerian motorists with two fuel pricing options: ₦1,000 per litre for petrol or ₦200 per Standard Cubic Meter (SCM) for Compressed Natural Gas (CNG).
The announcement was made during a meeting with executives from the Nigerian Independent Petroleum Company (NIPCO) at the State House in Abuja. Tinubu praised NIPCO for its efforts in promoting CNG as part of the country’s energy transition, highlighting the “Switch to CNG” campaign’s success in increasing awareness and providing affordable CNG conversion kits.
Additionally, Tinubu’s administration is offering free vehicle conversions for commercial motorists switching from petrol to CNG.
