A U.S. Navy EA-18G Growler aircraft crashed east of Mount Rainier, Washington, during a routine training flight on Tuesday evening. As of 7 p.m. on October 15, the status of the two crew members aboard remains unknown.

Search and rescue operations are underway, with a Navy MH-60S helicopter dispatched from Naval Air Station Whidbey Island to assist in the efforts. The aircraft is part of Electronic Attack Squadron 130 (VAQ-130), the Navy’s oldest electronic warfare squadron, based at the same station.

Further details regarding the crash are expected as the Navy continues to investigate the incident.
