United Nigeria Airlines (UNA) has successfully achieved its IATA Operational Safety Audit (IOSA) certification for the second time in a row, reaffirming its dedication to maintaining the highest standards of operational safety and excellence. The IOSA certification is recognized globally as a benchmark for airline safety, and UNA’s reaccreditation highlights its ongoing commitment to these rigorous standards.
In a statement released by the airline’s spokesman, Mr. Achillus Chud-Uchegbu, it was revealed that the certification process involved an extensive audit of the airline’s operational management and control systems, which UNA completed successfully. This achievement comes just 42 months into the airline’s operations, marking the second time UNA has demonstrated its compliance with international safety standards.
Mazi Osita Okonkwo, the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of UNA, expressed his excitement over the accomplishment, emphasizing that the certification is a testament to the hard work and dedication of the entire UNA team. He stated, “We are thrilled to have achieved our second IOSA certification, which is a testament to our unwavering commitment to safety and operational excellence.
